At 19h20, eight of Jo’burg’s top designers gathered for the briefing. With nothing but a mumbled blurb from myself and Asher Stoltz, a couple of key images from the film and the film’s name, the guys got to work on their tablets, computers and in one case, paint and actual paper (remember THAT stuff?)

With only an hour to create full-on movie posters, the team played out of their socks and the results are phenomenal… See below.

What made this event truly mind-blowing, was that it was streamed live onto our Facebook page (thanks to Vodacom) in a stroke of genius from director Fausto Becatti.

At one point 100 people were watching the event via the Facebook page!

After the allocated hour, the posters were uploaded to the Facebook page where people voted for their favourite. The cut-off for voting was extended to 21h30 and came down to the wire. Estian Fourie and Shaun Botes battled out the final minutes before Fourie took it by three votes by the cut-off time and won himself the R5000 voucher from Ben Sherman. The poster album has since been viewed 8000 times since Wednesday. All of the work is so good that all 8 posters will be used going forward.
